The only copy known to have been printed on yellow paper. First edition of this collection of 14 previously unpublished short stories by various Italian authors of the Restoration: Francesco Negri, Antonio Toaldo, Gherardo de' Rossi, Francesco Caffi, Antonio Cesari, Agnolo Dalmistro, Giulio Bernardino Tomitano, Pier Alessandro Paravia, Emmanuele Antonio Cicogna, Tommaso Grapputo. The editor, Bartolomeo Gamba (1766–1841), a native of Bassano, was both a leading printer and scholar in early nineteenth-century Veneto.
