Max-Pol Fouchet

Poètes d’aujourd’hui is a series of monographs devoted to poets, mainly of the twentieth century, launched in May 1944 by Pierre Seghers. Each volume follows a diptych structure: a critical study of the poet, followed by a selection of texts, usually introduced by a fellow writer acting as the poet’s “alter ego.” Louis Parrot wrote no. 1 of the series, devoted to his friend Paul Éluard, with whom he had founded the emblematic Éternelle revue, “Créée dans la clandestinité par Paul Éluard. Dirigée par Louis Parrot.”
