Jack Kerouac’s own copy, bearing the stamps of his estate: “Property of the Estate of Jack Kerouac, John Sampas, Executor” and the embossed Jack Kerouac Estate seal.

Accompanied by correspondence from the Boris Hoffman Agency in Paris and the Sterling Lord Literary Agency documenting the shipment of four copies of the newly published French translation. Sterling Lord was Kerouac’s literary agent and had represented both On the Road and The Subterraneans.

An exceptional provenance, directly linking Kerouac’s personal copy to the publication of his work in France.
