Les Sept Poèmes d’amour en guerre

The Sept poèmes were reissued in Cahors in 1944 for the Liberation of the Lot, before being included in Au rendez-vous allemand, also in 1944. They had originally appeared in the collection La Bibliothèque française, created by Louis Aragon “on the model of the Éditions de Minuit, from which it borrowed certain titles for distribution in the southern zone.” The collection comprised 15 pamphlets, printed clandestinely in Saint-Flour by Amarger, under the technical direction of Paul Éluard, who had taken refuge in Corrèze at the establishment of Dr. Lucien Bonnafé. The first three titles were by Aragon (Le Musée Grévin, Les Bons voisins, Gabriel Péri); Éluard’s was the fourth.
