Born in 1977, Alexa Brunet graduated from the Belfast Art College in 1998 and from the ENSP in Arles in 2001. She has spent several years producing symbolic photographic essays on technology, social housing and the excesses of industrial agriculture as part of the Transit collective.
Between 2009 and 2010, she produced the reportage “En Somme,” focusing on the youth of this rural department. Cropped, the photograph was later used to illustrate the dust jacket of Nicolas Mathieu’s novel Leurs enfants après eux.
