Finale de l’Euro 84
[Paris, Ateliers ABC / Savignac, Nouvelles images Éditeurs, 1983].
1 poster (595 x 850 mm). Color offset print, on strong card.
First offset printing, issued in 1983, ahead of wider distribution and reprints in the year of the competition.
The Euro 84 tournament was held in France from 12 to 27 June 1984, across eight stadiums (Paris, Lens, Nantes, Lyon, Saint-Étienne, Lyon, Strasbourg and Marseille). This poster was designed by Raymond Savignac for the final of Euro 84, played on 27 June 1984.
France, undefeated throughout the tournament, won at the Parc des Princes against Spain (2-0); Michel Platini set the record for goals scored in a single tournament (9, a record that still stands), and French football thus won its first international title since the creation of the French national team in 1904.
Fine condition.
