“The Cahiers de L’Herne set out to celebrate, in Pierre Michon, the absolute singularity of a voice and a style that never cease to surprise and delight an ever-growing readership since the appearance, in 1984, of his first book, Vies minuscules (…) This volume brings together, around Michon’s work, texts and testimonies by major critics and writers such as Pietro Citati, Maurice Nadeau and Jacques Réda, alongside other contemporaries (Goffette, Bergounioux, Echenoz, Olivier Rolin) and younger authors (Marie-Hélène Lafon, Maylis de Kerangal), all attesting to the fertilizing power of this dazzling and rare writing.
