De Tipasa à Lourmarin, an exhibition organized for the Centenary, followed the published work of Albert Camus from A to Z, presenting for each title at least one notable edition, a manuscript, or an original photograph. Some of the items gathered in this catalogue had never before been shown — among them one of the working notebooks for La Peste (on loan from the BNF), Camus’s personal copy of Nietzsche (private collection), and several leaves of the manuscript of L’Étranger. This catalogue is today a standard bibliographical reference on the subject.

Nearly 200 books and documents are included in the catalogue, all illustrated and captioned: precious letters and manuscripts, provenances, bindings and first editions. Bindings by Georges Leroux, Pierre-Lucien Martin, Paul Bonet, G. de Coster and Jean de Gonet, original manuscripts, corrected proofs and remarkable provenances.

The entire body of Camus’s work is presented chronologically, illustrated through first editions or illustrated editions.
