These Journaux de voyage bring together two notebooks kept by Albert Camus during his travels in North America, between March and May 1946, and in South America, between June and August 1949. Several passages fed into later works, echoing Pluies de New York, “La mer au plus près” in L’Été, and above all “La pierre qui pousse” in L’Exil et le Royaume.
A fine copy.
