A delicate typographic gem, designed by Pierre Dykmans, and also Marcel Jouhandeau’s second publication, after La Jeunesse de Théophile (1921), and his first work of short fiction.
It was published by René-Louis Doyon, who, besides this text, published the earliest work of a young man from Bondy who became his first bookshop employee, having previously been his main supplier of rare editions picked up from secondhand booksellers: André Malraux.
A fine and early binding by Pierre-Lucien Martin, dated 1957.
