It is the longest poem in the collection (66 lines), illustrated with three photographs of Nusch by Man Ray printed as a background to the text, including one on a central double page — the only one in the collection — showing the sole full-length view of Nusch, with the text running along each side of her body.

The poem appears between the opening poem, “Tu te lève l’eau se déplie,” and “L’Entente,” and before “Facile est bien” and “Nous avons fait la nuit,” which close the collection. It was published in the Revue de Paris (no. 12, June 25, 1935), in the section “Anthologie 1935 – poèmes inédits de nos meilleurs écrivains.”
