A charming copy inscribed to the banker Théodore Ansbacher, known as “Théo,” a friend to the writers and artists of his time.
The copy is further enriched with a signed card to Louis-Alfred Nathanson: “Vous êtes toujours le même délicieux camarade […] et si vous vous imaginez que j’attendrai, moi, vingt ans pour vous embrasser vous vous mettez le doigt dans l’oeil…” A longtime friend of Courteline, Jules Renard and Tristan Bernard, Alfred Nathanson worked alongside Blum on the editorial team of L’Humanité.
