[ALBUM PANINI]

Collection complète des albums de football “Euro”

Modena, Panini, 1980-2020 [2021].
11 albums (230 x 270 mm) of 48 p. each. Stapled, illustrated wrappers.
Complete set of eleven albums published for the UEFA European Football Championship. All albums are complete, with no pages missing.

Although the first album for an international competition was published in 1970, for the World Cup in Mexico, it would take another ten years before Panini, on the occasion of Italy hosting the Euro, launched its collection of albums and stickers covering the European Football Championship.

Europa 80 was therefore the first album published — twenty years after the competition’s creation, with ten nations having won the title since 1960, including France’s first continental title, won on home soil in 1984, and a second, in Rotterdam, following their first World Cup win, in 2000. The albums that followed were Euro 84 (France), Euro 88 (Germany), Euro 92 (Sweden), Euro 96 (England), Euro 2000 (Belgium and the Netherlands), Euro 2004 (Portugal), Euro 2008 (Austria and Switzerland), Euro 2012 (Poland and Ukraine), Euro 2016 (France) and Euro 2020. This album is the last one published by Panini: UEFA transferred the rights to the official album to another publisher for the 2024 edition. Panini will now focus on FIFA and national competitions.

Included are the original tickets for France’s two most recent finals: the one lost on home soil in 2016, and the one won in Rotterdam in 2000.
