Bound in at front: manuscript notes in two different hands [unidentified] on a leaf of fine laid paper (270 x 420 mm), in blue and brown ink. Probably a draft study on Apollinaire's poetry, the content of which appears to be unpublished.

First publication of the poems addressed to Louise Coligny-Châtillon, known as Lou, most of which had appeared in the letters she received from the poet between 1914 and 1918. These poems remained unpublished for some thirty years after Apollinaire’s death, and only a few fragments were known, published in the collection Calligrammes. Here, 76 magnificent poems are drawn from the letters; the complete edition would not appear until 1955, under the title Poèmes à Lou, followed in 1969 by Lettres à Lou.
A fine mosaic binding by Semet & Plumelle, remarkably executed and in perfect condition.
