1 vol. (90 x 125 mm) of 180 pp. and 24 pl. Half red morocco with corners, spine ribbed and decorated with gilt compartments, double fillet on covers, gilt title and top edge, date at foot (nineteenth-century binding).
A charming theatrical almanac with the program of Paris theaters for the year 1822. It is illustrated with a title-frontispiece showing a bill-poster and 12 portraits of actors, steel-engraved and finely hand-colored, here in double state (in black and colored): Nourrit, Martin, Mme Lemonnier, Mme Perrin, Philippe, Mlle Rivière, Odry, Mlle Flore, Le Peintre, Potier, Mlle Jenny-Vertpré. Also found are
Louis Jouvet’s copy, with his bookplate designed by Christian Bérard.
