This is the second book illustrated by the photographer, following La Mandragore in 1991, on a text by Michel-Ange Serreti.
The same title would be used two years later by Édouard Boubat, the photographer and friend of the writer, for one of his last books, a tribute to Lella, his muse. Christian Bobin, a keen admirer of photography, often used images by Boubat on the covers of his books (La Part manquante, La Petite Robe de fête), and even devoted a beautiful book to him: Donne-moi quelque chose qui ne meure pas.
